Worldwide
The GCRF is partnering with The United States National Cancer Institute to further develop their new cervical cancer screening artificial intelligence algorithm. The GCRF will screen and treat over 10,000 women around the world to help validate this algorithm.
Cambodia
The GCRF is currently working with the Takeo Regional Hospital and the Cambodian National Center HIV/AIDS (NCHADS) to screen 10,000 Cambodian women as Part of the U.S. National Cancer Institute’s 100,000 women PAVE study. The PAVE study is the key study in the NCI’s cervical cancer moonshot program. In the past, GCRF worked with The Sihanouk Center of Hope, a hospital devoted to the care and treatment of people living with HIV and tuberculosis to conduct two cervical cancer screening studies.
China
The GCRF in Partnership with The United Foundation for China’s Health and the Han Hong Foundation has conducted three large scale cervical screening and research projects in remote regions of China Including Ningxia, Yunnan, and Inner Mongolia. Kenya
The GCRF worked with Cure Cervical Cancer to screen and treat women for cervical cancer in rural areas of Kenya.
Peru
The GCRF has partnered with Amazon Promise to conduct two large scale cervical cancer screening projects in Iquitos and remote villages along the Amazon river in Peru. Additional screen and treat projects are planned for 2025.
Uganda
The GCRF will team with Rays of Hope Jinja and Cure Cervical Cancer to conduct large scale cervical cancer screening and treatment projects.
United States
The GCRF has partnered with scientists at the George Washington University McCormick Genomics and Proteomics Institute to identify key inflammatory pathways in lichen sclerosus (the leading cause of vulvar cancer). These basic science studies helped to identify a novel medication that is currently being studied in a phase 2B clinical trial for lichen sclerosus.
